After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Vasiliy Kulakov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Курск ФК's supporters rose to their feet, but Vasiliy Kulakov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pekko Badla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 30 minutes into the game, Julius Wegmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alemannia Aachen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Курск ФК the free kick. A collision led to Alemannia Aachen getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Julius Wegmann hit a great ball. The supporters of Курск ФК booed when Alemannia Aachen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Bressem didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Leonid Bubnov came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Курск ФК fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonid Bubnov couldn't finish the play. Andrey Denisov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pekko Badla having to make a save. 34 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goal looked a bit too open when Andrey Denisov came free, but Pekko Badla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrey Denisov in the 41st minute of play forced Alemannia Aachen's goalkeeper Pekko Badla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrey Denisov took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pekko Badla. Pekko Badla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andrey Denisov was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Alemannia Aachen's zone, Andrey Denisov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pekko Badla came out of the goal and Andrey Denisov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Andrey Denisov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andrey Denisov received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pekko Badla came out and tried to block the shot, but Andrey Denisov slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 59th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goalkeeper Pekko Badla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrey Denisov. Pekko Badla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrey Denisov in the 64th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Andrey Denisov sped through Alemannia Aachen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pekko Badla. In the 71st minute, Vasiliy Kulakov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pekko Badla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrey Denisov in the 73rd minute of play. In the 76th minute, Andrey Denisov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pekko Badla was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. The supporters of Курск ФК booed when Alemannia Aachen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theo Nadolski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pekko Badla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrey Denisov in the 79th minute. After having played for 81 minutes, Andrey Denisov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Курск ФК's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrey Denisov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85thth minute of the game Boris Basalaev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alemannia Aachen's Pekko Badla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goal looked a bit too open when Boris Basalaev came free, but Pekko Badla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Курск ФК could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Alemannia Aachen throughout the match.
