In the 24th minute, Nacer Khlifi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marrakech FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

52 minutes into the match, Marrakech FC's goalkeeper Sebastião Salgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jakub Moder. Ahmet Necdet Razi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abdellatif Benkhirane's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. The supporters of Swansea City AFC booed when Marrakech FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnny Västerberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Anacleto Jaume sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Marrakech FC's Sebastião Salgado didn't even have to move. If Jakub Moder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, André Luiz Meireles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The throw-in from Vuyani Tshabalala in the 72nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Swansea City AFC's Nicolau Taveira. André Luiz Meireles might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastião Salgado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. André Luiz Meireles ran back to his position shaking his head. 80 minutes into the match, Marrakech FC's goalkeeper Sebastião Salgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Luiz Meireles. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Luiz Meireles got free with Sebastião Salgado in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. André Luiz Meireles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Sebastião Salgado made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Marrakech FC had won after a very even match.
