In the 18th minute, Nelson Haedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Olimpia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Alfredo Aguilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romão Mourato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romão Mourato in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Aguilar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Club Olimpia getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Roberto Bueldi hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Romão Mourato's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfredo Aguilar was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. 44 minutes into the game, Roneros F.C.'s Romão Mourato nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfredo Aguilar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romão Mourato to make the kick off. Pontus Picado hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute, Jiang Sha made a precise shot to the right of Alfredo Aguilar. Club Olimpia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Alfredo Aguilar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jiang Sha in the 80th minute. Alfredo Aguilar came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Roneros F.C.'s Patrick Viera. But to his dismay, Patrick Viera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Alfredo Aguilar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Witomir Jestrimski in the 90th minute. After some careless play in the Club Olimpia defense, Jiang Sha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredo Aguilar. The Club Olimpia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredo Aguilar should have stopped the shot. Roneros F.C.'s Witomir Jestrimski suffered a sore thigh after 95 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Maxime Van Brusselen fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Olimpia's protests and gave Maxime Van Brusselen a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Club Olimpia getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Maxime Van Brusselen hit a great ball. The Club Olimpia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Roneros F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
