Tryggvi Sigfastsson ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristmundur Knútsson in the 6th minute of play forced Gavião Kyikatejê's goalkeeper Colin Booth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Kristmundur Knútsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manchester United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 12 minutes into the game, Kristmundur Knútsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Colin Booth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 19 minutes into the game, Manchester United's Arnes Dónaldsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Colin Booth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Níls Margeirsson in the 40th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Kristmundur Knútsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester United's supporters rose to their feet, but Kristmundur Knútsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Colin Booth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd minute Tryggvi Sigfastsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Colin Booth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 48 minutes Gavião Kyikatejê's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Níls Margeirsson who took care of the corner kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Tryggvi Sigfastsson got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Kristmundur Knútsson took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Colin Booth to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Tryggvi Sigfastsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Colin Booth. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Kristmundur Knútsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kristmundur Knútsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Colin Booth. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kristmundur Knútsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Arnes Dónaldsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Colin Booth made a huge save. In the 98th minute, Manchester United's Kristmundur Knútsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Colin Booth. Colin Booth yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-13. Manchester United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
