Nichlas Vesterdahl made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Michal Hudák sent off a good shot on target. Adam Hrdina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nik Frisendal in the 6th minute of play. Randers A.F.C.'s Nichlas Vesterdahl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Randers A.F.C. from getting a goal against them. AFK Petržalka's Michal Hudák came free and shot a quick shot against goal 9 minutes in the game, fortunately Nichlas Vesterdahl had problems saving as it came toward the left post. 11 minutes into the match, Randers A.F.C.'s Rene Rostholm sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adam Hrdina narrowly saved just below the crossbar. AFK Petržalka's Adam Hrdina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nik Frisendal in the 15th minute of play. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Randers A.F.C.'s goalkeeper Nichlas Vesterdahl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Randers A.F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Peter Pekarík was slow to take the kick. During this time AFK Petržalka's players had a chance to rest. In the 20th match minute, AFK Petržalka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Obert to maneuver through the defense. Nichlas Vesterdahl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michal Hudák in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute Rene Rostholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Hrdina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's goal looked a bit too open when Nik Frisendal came free, but Adam Hrdina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Rostholm in the 28th minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Adam Hrdina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nichlas Vesterdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michal Hudák in the 30th minute of play. Nichlas Vesterdahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michal Hudák, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Michal Hudák's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nichlas Vesterdahl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute AFK Petržalka were awarded a corner. Peter Pekarík went to the cornerflag to take it. Adam Hrdina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Rostholm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rene Rostholm in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adam Hrdina saved AFK Petržalka from getting behind. AFK Petržalka's Michal Hudák got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Michal Hudák to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Michal Hudák left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AFK Petržalka fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 56 minutes into the match, Rene Rostholm had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adam Hrdina. AFK Petržalka's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rene Rostholm was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michal Hudák in the 62nd minute of play forced Randers A.F.C.'s goalkeeper Nichlas Vesterdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rene Rostholm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute Michal Hudák shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nichlas Vesterdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Rene Rostholm kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Adam Hrdina. That made the score 1-2 in the 81 minute of play. Nichlas Vesterdahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikola Krstović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AFK Petržalka's Adam Hrdina proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save AFK Petržalka from getting a goal against them. 91 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Steenbeck came free, but Adam Hrdina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute Bruno Steenbeck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Hrdina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nichlas Vesterdahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikola Krstović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Randers A.F.C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
