The referee ignored Tinley's protests and gave Asher Barrera a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd match minute, Tinley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asher Barrera to maneuver through the defense. During the 5th minute of the match Asher Barrera completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Asher Barrera a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Al Ford made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Erkin Siraceddin sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Erkin Siraceddin sped through Tinley's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Al Ford. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kabataşspor's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Johnnie Hinds was slow to take the kick. During this time Tinley's players had a chance to rest. In the 16th minute Basil Parra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafettin Bozkurt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Erkin Siraceddin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rafettin Bozkurt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basil Parra in the 23rd minute of the match. Güneri Ezgü received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Al Ford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Basil Parra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafettin Bozkurt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tinley's goalkeeper Al Ford, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hami Sarpkan during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th match minute, Kabataşspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hami Sarpkan to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basil Parra in the 40th minute of play forced Kabataşspor's goalkeeper Rafettin Bozkurt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Kabataşspor's Güneri Ezgü ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Al Ford. Al Ford yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Basil Parra to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Tinley got a freekick which was hit by Basil Parra. Al Ford came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Kabataşspor's Güneri Ezgü. But to his dismay, Güneri Ezgü quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The supporters of Kabataşspor booed when Tinley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marlon Owen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Erkin Siraceddin notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Tinley's Al Ford. Al Ford was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 71st match minute, Tinley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquin Vazquez to maneuver through the defense. The referee gave Kabataşspor a penalty, 79 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Atakan Evvel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tinley's Al Ford. 6-0. In the 81st minute Güneri Ezgü shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Al Ford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Kabataşspor's Erkin Siraceddin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Al Ford narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Kabataşspor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Mehmet Edip Oğuzcan charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mehmet Edip Oğuzcan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Tinley's Basil Parra got a free kick in the 94th minute. After 96 minutes, Bob Franklin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tinley and the Kabataşspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th minute, one of Tinley:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tinley.
