Kilclooney's Lewy Barrett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Kilclooney from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Johnnie Hinds during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Al Ford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rian Dunne, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
