The audience thought a goal was coming when Fiori Maia got free with Albert Dyce in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 16 minutes into the game, Darren Yip was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC Banbury 1977's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave IBIRITÉ FC the free kick. After 16 played minutes AC Banbury 1977 got a freekick which was hit by Darren Yip. The audience was convinced that Fiori Maia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albert Dyce was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Rômulo Soares took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Albert Dyce. Albert Dyce dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 32nd minute, Fiori Maia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albert Dyce was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. If Tiago Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albert Dyce didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fiori Maia went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Fiori Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Albert Dyce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-1 at half-time.

AC Banbury 1977's Anil Lum was substituted for Danish Politiek. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aziz Ning stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
