Rabah Laref was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Otar Mingrelsky capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Otar Mingrelsky really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 22nd minute, Bichiko Sulaberidze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reda Chaouchi in the 23rd minute of play forced Ullesthorpe's goalkeeper Sabir Chebaevskiy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Otar Mingrelsky got free with Rabah Laref in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st minute of the match Mohammad Nabil sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sabir Chebaevskiy skillfully saved the ball. Otar Mingrelsky could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Rabah Laref made a huge save. Ullesthorpe's Bichiko Sulaberidze pulled a muscle in his back after 41 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Yacine Djebar's late challenge caught a Ullesthorpe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yacine Djebar helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to BURAIMI FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Yacine Djebar hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Otar Mingrelsky managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ullesthorpe's supporters rose to their feet, but Otar Mingrelsky was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rabah Laref breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 45 minutes into the match, Ullesthorpe's Irakli Chebaevskiy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rabah Laref narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Otar Mingrelsky got free with Rabah Laref in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Toufik Moussaoui was the one to do the kick off. Reda Chaouchi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sabir Chebaevskiy made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Toufik Moussaoui sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 60 minutes, Otar Mingrelsky managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ullesthorpe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otar Mingrelsky was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Otar Mingrelsky sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reda Chaouchi might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sabir Chebaevskiy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reda Chaouchi ran back to his position shaking his head. When Toufik Moussaoui, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 80 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Sabir Chebaevskiy was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Ullesthorpe's Sabir Chebaevskiy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toufik Moussaoui in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute of the match, Toufik Moussaoui tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sabir Chebaevskiy saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Otar Mingrelsky had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as BURAIMI FC's Cheb Achiu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sabir Chebaevskiy. That made the score 1-2 after 90 minutes of play.
