Thanks to some nice moves Poul Enok Kwieciński could shoot a difficult shot in the 20th minute, which Serginho Nogueira however easily saved by the left post. After some careless play in the Faroe Islands defense, Sufi Orun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ingi Castilho. Serginho Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Poul Stanković made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ásbjørn Jónsson in the 50th minute of play forced Calesso FC's goalkeeper Serginho Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rdth minute of the game Poul Stanković who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Calesso FC's Serginho Nogueira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Serginho Nogueira went to the wrong direction when Fríðrikur Ellingsgaard was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Tórður Olsen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serginho Nogueira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
