Lars Bammerman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Bernaldo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Bammerman in the 7th minute of play forced Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Victoriano Bernaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roberto-Carlos da Silva struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Victoriano Bernaldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Kurdistan. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's attentive Santo Libertad managed to snatch the ball when Erhard Esbo made a throw-in in the 11th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörgen Levander in the 13th minute of play forced Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Victoriano Bernaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victoriano Bernaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Bammerman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jörgen Levander took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victoriano Bernaldo. Victoriano Bernaldo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Victoriano Bernaldo came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Kurdistan's Lars Bammerman. But to his dismay, Lars Bammerman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Victoriano Bernaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Bammerman in the 27th minute of play. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Jörgen Levander sped through Dep Colonia Avellaneda's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Victoriano Bernaldo. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Darryl Buckner quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Erhard Esbo, made in the 31st minute of the game. In the 32nd minute Jörgen Levander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Bernaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, FC Kurdistan's Lars Bammerman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Victoriano Bernaldo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Jörgen Levander put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Victoriano Bernaldo. Victoriano Bernaldo came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Kurdistan's Lars Bammerman. But to his dismay, Lars Bammerman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Lars Bammerman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Bernaldo having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Alaaddin Solskjær showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vasile Tufescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Victoriano Bernaldo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Dep Colonia Avellaneda from getting a goal against them. 58 minutes into the match, Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Victoriano Bernaldo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lars Bammerman. Darryl Buckner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute of the match, Fredric Hybbert tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Victoriano Bernaldo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Dep Colonia Avellaneda getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Pascual Lesardo hit a great ball. Victoriano Bernaldo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lars Sundström in the 71st minute. Darryl Buckner's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alaaddin Solskjær read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lars Sundström got free with Victoriano Bernaldo in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roberto-Carlos da Silva made a great header on FC Kurdistan's corner, it was just that Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Victoriano Bernaldo managed to reach the ball for a save. Nils Hopp's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Victoriano Bernaldo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Victoriano Bernaldo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lars Sundström's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute of the match FC Kurdistan got a corner. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roberto-Carlos da Silva ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Nils Hopp managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Lars Sundström put it in 0-8 from a short distance just to the right of Victoriano Bernaldo. FC Kurdistan's Lars Sundström got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lars Sundström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 88 minutes into the match, Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Victoriano Bernaldo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lars Sundström. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lars Sundström in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victoriano Bernaldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
