Santo Gonzo hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Albino Maiorga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Malvin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albino Maiorga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Fagondo in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Carlos Malvin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Black Rose 1979's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Stig-Åke Blomberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Stig-Åke Blomberg to fire away a dangerous shot which Zacarias Abreu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tolek Mlekodaj who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Zacarias Abreu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Black Rose 1979 were furious when Alonzo Oxel was red carded, 24 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by Santo Gonzo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 31st minute Tolek Mlekodaj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albino Maiorga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Alvarez in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Tolek Mlekodaj cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Zacarias Abreu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Santo Gonzo scored 4-0 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zacarias Abreu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Deportivo Pomelo Nenene booed when Black Rose 1979 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anastasio Pueblo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Black Rose 1979's Zacarias Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Gonzo in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute Santo Gonzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zacarias Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tolek Mlekodaj in the 61st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Black Rose 1979's Carlos Malvin got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Zacarias Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ton Meulman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 65 minutes, Santo Gonzo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Pomelo Nenene and the Black Rose 1979 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Húmi Pomelin was substituted for Santo Gonzo. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene made a substitution. Osman Ali Fidan replaced Alvise Nicolai. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Gaspar Pomelov was substituted for Tolek Mlekodaj. The supporters of Black Rose 1979 booed when Deportivo Pomelo Nenene was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santo Gonzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Húmi Pomelin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ton Meulman struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Zacarias Abreu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Pomelo Nenene. Gaspar Pomelov took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zacarias Abreu. Zacarias Abreu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Stig-Åke Blomberg kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Zacarias Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Húmi Pomelin in the 87th minute of play. After 88th play minutes Gaspar Pomelov shot 6-0, a short shot which went by Zacarias Abreu and just under the crossbar into goal. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
