Samsunspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Haşmet Nevzat was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Samsunspor's goalkeeper Hayri İlksen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haşmet Nevzat in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hayri İlksen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hayri İlksen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haşmet Nevzat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erol Buminhan hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Samsunspor's Mehmet Ediz Durdu got a free kick in the 24th minute. Haşmet Nevzat scored 0-3 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hayri İlksen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hayri İlksen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Onur Ali Şen, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 42nd match minute, Samsunspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kuddusî Süphan to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the match, Haşmet Nevzat notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Samsunspor's Hayri İlksen. Hayri İlksen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The wind increased when Haşmet Nevzat made the kick off in the second half. Hayri İlksen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haşmet Nevzat in the 52nd minute of play. Hayri İlksen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. After a defensive mix-up in Samsunspor's zone, Yavuz Acabay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hayri İlksen came out of the goal and Yavuz Acabay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kuddusî Süphan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baybora Nasuh having to interfere. Baybora Nasuh came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Samsunspor's Batuğ Keykubad. But to his dismay, Batuğ Keykubad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. The supporters of Samsunspor booed when Sincanspor FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Onur Ali Şen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deniz Akgül's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hayri İlksen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Haşmet Nevzat kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hayri İlksen. That made the score 1-7 in the 81 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Yavuz Acabay took a quick shot and it went in 1-8 without a chance for Hayri İlksen to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Haşmet Nevzat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sincanspor FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Haşmet Nevzat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hayri İlksen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Samsunspor fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sincanspor FK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
