After a defensive mix-up in Kwaski Sandomierz's zone, Errikos Delioridis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barbaros Sargan came out of the goal and Errikos Delioridis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Barbaros Sargan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tymoteusz Drab in the 39th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Tạ Bunk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfred Chludzinski. Slaytanic Army's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tạ Bunk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erwin Rommel to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Olgierd Walkowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kwaski Sandomierz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Slaytanic Army the free kick. In the 53rd minute, Olgierd Walkowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lis Przecherka in the 59th minute of play forced Kwaski Sandomierz's goalkeeper Barbaros Sargan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
