Maksymilian Prusinowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karol Tomiczek's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. 1909 Tarnovia's Maksymilian Prusinowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Lindberg in the 13th minute of play. Jakub Gondela blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zenon Pleban having to make a save. Leszek Podwojski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Legia Warszawa getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Lucian Mihăilă hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Legia Warszawa's goalkeeper Zenon Pleban had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zdzislaw Biraga. 1909 Tarnovia's Maksymilian Prusinowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karol Tomiczek in the 31st minute of play. Maksymilian Prusinowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karol Tomiczek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel Lindberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maksymilian Prusinowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Barnaba Latkiewicz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zenon Pleban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zenon Hetman in the 44th minute of play. After 44 minutes, Lucian Mihăilă mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Legia Warszawa and the 1909 Tarnovia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lucian Mihăilă hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 1909 Tarnovia's Jerzy Grocholski shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 45th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Zenon Pleban but with some difficulty. Barnaba Latkiewicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Zenon Pleban tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 67th minute Karol Tomiczek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maksymilian Prusinowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 69 played minutes 1909 Tarnovia got a freekick which was hit by Çağan Serol. When Qiu Yang came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Legia Warszawa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Qiu Yang couldn't finish the play. Lucian Mihăilă's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maksymilian Prusinowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Leszek Podwojski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maksymilian Prusinowski having to interfere. After 84 played minutes Legia Warszawa got a freekick which was hit by Dario Taglieri. In the 94th minute, Zenon Hetman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
