If Heino Helkamo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Voitto Nyrhinen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Bruno Untermann when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bruno Untermann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Voitto Nyrhinen in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Mattias Hilger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Yan Chong Sen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Palloketut's Yan Chong Sen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Hilger in the 24th minute of play. Give Peace a Chance's Bruno Untermann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Give Peace a Chance from getting a goal against them. Yan Chong Sen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattias Hilger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Give Peace a Chance's goal looked a bit too open when Heino Helkamo came free, but Bruno Untermann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Heino Helkamo put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Bruno Untermann. Give Peace a Chance's Bruno Untermann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Give Peace a Chance from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Give Peace a Chance's Bruno Untermann got control of the ball when Voitto Nyrhinen tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 43 minutes Give Peace a Chance's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ali Ruohiainen who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, Palloketut's Antti Väisänen got a free kick in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Toni Fabich stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toni Fabich in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Untermann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bruno Untermann didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Heino Helkamo went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. 58 minutes into the match, Give Peace a Chance's goal looked a bit too open when Heino Helkamo came free, but Bruno Untermann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heino Helkamo was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The supporters of Give Peace a Chance booed when Palloketut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommi Kangasmäki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Palloketut's Marcus Hjelm was substituted for Doğuş Turabi. Give Peace a Chance's Odilo Pusch was substituted for Godo Jaffke. The supporters of Give Peace a Chance booed when Palloketut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommi Kangasmäki didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Mattias Hilger took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Yan Chong Sen to make any attempt to save it. In the 75th minute, Lex Punke fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Voitto Nyrhinen in the 87th minute of play forced Give Peace a Chance's goalkeeper Bruno Untermann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Untermann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Toni Fabich's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Lex Punke could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Yan Chong Sen however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toni Fabich in the 96th minute of play forced Give Peace a Chance's goalkeeper Bruno Untermann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
