Søren Kvols made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Harri Kaine sent off a good shot on target. If Idacio Ballejos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcus Deacon came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Darkwing Ducks's Su Xu. But to his dismay, Su Xu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Su Xu in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcus Deacon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Darkwing Ducks's Søren Kvols got control of the ball when Idacio Ballejos tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Su Xu in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus Deacon saved Mayo from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Su Xu in the 33rd minute of play forced Mayo's goalkeeper Marcus Deacon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aquiles Francis struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Marcus Deacon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Darkwing Ducks. Gonzalo Montiel hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute Su Xu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Deacon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Su Xu might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcus Deacon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Su Xu ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Su Xu in the 46th minute of play forced Mayo's goalkeeper Marcus Deacon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Idacio Ballejos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mayo's supporters rose to their feet, but Idacio Ballejos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Søren Kvols breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Aquiles Francis took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Marcus Deacon to make any attempt to save it. Su Xu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Su Xu kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Idacio Ballejos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mayo made a substitution. Patrick Robins replaced Will Porter. Mayo made a substitution. Steve Oliver replaced Evelio Goren. 75 minutes into the game, Tiago Mora was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Darkwing Ducks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mayo the free kick. Idacio Ballejos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Søren Kvols read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Idacio Ballejos in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Søren Kvols saved Darkwing Ducks from getting behind. 94 minutes into the match, Mayo's Idacio Ballejos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Søren Kvols narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
