Blanche Glen Crowe hit a great ball. 1948 MKS's Ter Stegen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barhart Costello in the 18th minute of play. Brasil McIan kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Barnaby Rogers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Brigid Rutherford made a huge save. After 26 minutes, Ersin Uyguralp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 1948 MKS and the St. James Gate F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ersin Uyguralp hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Barhart Costello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brigid Rutherford was a little too slow when Barnaby Rogers got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 2-0. A hard shot 34 in the game by Barnaby Rogers from a close distance when the talented Brigid Rutherford managed to make a qualified save. St. James Gate F.C.'s players were relieved. Ter Stegen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hewney Kirby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilbert Jameson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Brigid Rutherford came out and tried to block the shot, but Gilbert Jameson slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 36th minute. 43 minutes into the match, 1948 MKS's goal looked a bit too open when Bannon Glen Crowe came free, but Ter Stegen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ter Stegen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egan McLaughlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute, Austin Deery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Birr Lester lost his temper 54 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Birr Lester kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Tipper Savic struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Ter Stegen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for St. James Gate F.C.. 59 minutes into the match, 1948 MKS's goal looked a bit too open when Hewney Kirby came free, but Ter Stegen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brigid Rutherford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barnaby Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 63rd minute, Bannon Glen Crowe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barnaby Rogers took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brigid Rutherford. Brigid Rutherford dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 68th minute Barnaby Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brigid Rutherford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brigid Rutherford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baoithin Doherty, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 76th minute Barnaby Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brigid Rutherford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute of the match St. James Gate F.C. got a corner. 1948 MKS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tipper Savic ran over to the corner to take the kick. 1948 MKS's Ter Stegen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barhart Costello in the 83rd minute of play. Cianán McDonald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Brigid Rutherford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. St. James Gate F.C.'s Biddy Delaney was substituted for Barhart Costello.
