Glyn Wedlock didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Barhart Costello went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Brigid Rutherford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans-Kristian Aanes in the 19th minute of play. Brigid Rutherford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raymond Michalsen in the 21st minute of the match. After 22 played minutes Sagene IF got a freekick which was hit by William Knutsen. Glyn Wedlock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pearse McWilliam in the 26th minute of the match. Nils-Arne Hannestad charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 34th minute Ivan Óbolo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brigid Rutherford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Óbolo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Brigid Rutherford came out and tried to block the shot, but Ivan Óbolo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 36th minute. Brigid Rutherford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kjell Ekeli, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Brigid Rutherford made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raymond Michalsen in the 42nd minute. 46 minutes into the match, St. James Gate F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Óbolo came free, but Brigid Rutherford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute of the match, Ivan Óbolo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Brigid Rutherford was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bannon Glen Crowe was the one to do the kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Hans-Kristian Aanes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but St. James Gate F.C.'s Brigid Rutherford was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Glyn Wedlock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bannon Glen Crowe, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 61 minutes into the match, St. James Gate F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Óbolo came free, but Brigid Rutherford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kjell Ekeli scored 3-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brigid Rutherford, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Brigid Rutherford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Óbolo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. St. James Gate F.C.'s Brigid Rutherford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell Ekeli in the 73rd minute of play. Sagene IF's Thorbjørn Sandøy was substituted for William Knutsen. St. James Gate F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team.
