Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zoltán Varga to make the kick off. Kurt Ahrem's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elia Bobadilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Sirius Hahn hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Academica Pulheim's Zbigniew Setara was substituted for Kurt Ahrem. Academica Pulheim's Maxime Vrints was substituted for Lutz Golke. A collision led to FC Wallersdorf getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Leo Polenz hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Academica Pulheim defense, Zoltán Varga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paul Heyckendorf. The Academica Pulheim fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paul Heyckendorf should have stopped the shot. 76 minutes into the match, Academica Pulheim's goal looked a bit too open when Zoltán Varga came free, but Paul Heyckendorf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Hugó Bøss left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academica Pulheim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Academica Pulheim eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
