In the 20th minute, Jonathan Willetts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilhelm Nienhaus might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martyon Diehl. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilhelm Nienhaus ran back to his position shaking his head. Martyon Diehl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liam Bray in the 27th minute of play. Rune Jarstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Di Gregorio in the 28th minute of play. But to his dismay, Dave Di Gregorio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 34th match minute, Hertha 1969 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lothar Heber to maneuver through the defense. Gigel Elenescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martyon Diehl. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 38th minute Dave Di Gregorio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Liam Bray made the kick off in the second half. Dave Di Gregorio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th minute, Benedikt Bensch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martyon Diehl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Paulo da Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Peng Qi Chong took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Rune Jarstein to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Astreix&ObelixSoccer eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
