Benigno Feo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kazimierz Traczewski in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bath Boyce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kazimierz Traczewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Bath Boyce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Drake Sobczak kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Bath Boyce made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Kazimierz Traczewski sent off a good shot on target. Arty Shearn hit a great ball. Boroondara Milan's Bath Boyce proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Boroondara Milan from getting a goal against them. After having played for 42 minutes, Kazimierz Traczewski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kazimierz Traczewski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Paco Everett made the kick off in the second half. Gerazan Pujana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bath Boyce read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Boroondara Milan's Bath Boyce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerazan Pujana in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Boroondara Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Gerazan Pujana came free, but Bath Boyce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benigno Feo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kris Pearse, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute.
