After having played for 4 minutes, Trey Echols managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Miami Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trey Echols was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, PHOENIX SC's goal looked a bit too open when Trey Echols came free, but Ray Clemence reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Frederico Hendrickx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guilherme Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ray Clemence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Bearden in the 25th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodrigo Bearden in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ray Clemence prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodrigo Bearden in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ray Clemence saved PHOENIX SC from getting behind. Ray Clemence stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodrigo Bearden's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Ray Clemence showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Keenan Worthington in the 28th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Racing Miami Futbol Club's goalkeeper Guilherme Veiga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frederico Hendrickx. After a rather tough play, PHOENIX SC's Loren Coya got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Guilherme Veiga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frederico Hendrickx in the 38th minute. A collision led to Racing Miami Futbol Club getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Romeo Zeigler hit a great ball. Frederico Hendrickx could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Guilherme Veiga made a huge save. Ray Clemence took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keenan Worthington, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frederico Hendrickx to strike the kick off in the second half. Ray Clemence made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Keenan Worthington sent off a good shot on target. In the 54th minute, Lilcho Ilchov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keenan Worthington in the 63rd minute of play forced PHOENIX SC's goalkeeper Ray Clemence to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Racing Miami Futbol Club made a substitution. Rodney Hagen replaced Trey Echols. Racing Miami Futbol Club's attentive Rodrigo Bearden managed to snatch the ball when Rodrigo Abaurre made a throw-in in the 68th minute of the game. 74 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Bearden dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ray Clemence, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Miami Futbol Club's zone, Lilcho Ilchov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guilherme Veiga came out of the goal and Lilcho Ilchov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lilcho Ilchov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 82 minutes into the match, PHOENIX SC's goal looked a bit too open when Chance Adams came free, but Ray Clemence reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Guilherme Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico Hendrickx in the 85th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frederico Hendrickx in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guilherme Veiga saved Racing Miami Futbol Club from getting behind. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Guilherme Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico Hendrickx in the 93rd minute of play.
