The crowd rose to their feet as Shymkent Camels's Christer Johnsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lưu Thuyet. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. Lưu Thuyet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christer Johnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the last second Lưu Thuyet throw himself and got hold of the ball when Christer Johnsson in the 9thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 13th minute Shymkent Camels were awarded a corner. Christer Johnsson went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Christer Johnsson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sài Gòn's Lưu Thuyet did a great save. In the 15th minute, Jiang Cheng Peng reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lưu Thuyet. The goal made the score 2-0. The supporters of Shymkent Camels booed when Sài Gòn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Duc didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner ended in Christer Johnsson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sài Gòn's Lưu Thuyet did a great save. In the 23rd minute Jiang Cheng Peng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lưu Thuyet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Shymkent Camels's Sebastian Milla got a free kick in the 24th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Sebastian Milla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shymkent Camels's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Milla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lưu Thuyet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sài Gòn's Lưu Thuyet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christer Johnsson in the 29th minute of play. A collision led to Sài Gòn getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Huỳnh Dung hit a great ball. Christer Johnsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lưu Thuyet. Sài Gòn's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lưu Thuyet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christer Johnsson in the 33rd minute of play. Lưu Thuyet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Milla, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Lưu Thuyet made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Sebastian Milla sent off a good shot on target. Sài Gòn's Lưu Thuyet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ayrton Schumacher in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to Sài Gòn getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Nguyễn Lan hit a great ball. After 45 minutes of play, Sài Gòn's Hoàng Phuong made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Horacio Zarricueta was left in no man's land by his defense there!

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nguyễn Chi made a kick off. Lưu Thuyet came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Shymkent Camels's Jiang Cheng Peng. But to his dismay, Jiang Cheng Peng quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 54 minutes into the match, Sài Gòn's goal looked a bit too open when Zézinho Falcão came free, but Lưu Thuyet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lưu Thuyet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christer Johnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Milla in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lưu Thuyet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 60th minute, Nguyễn Lan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christer Johnsson in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lưu Thuyet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lưu Thuyet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erast Volkonskiy in the 62nd minute of play. Lưu Thuyet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lưu Thuyet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Milla in the 90th minute of play. Jiang Cheng Peng took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lưu Thuyet. Lưu Thuyet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Shymkent Camels had played much better football throughout.
