Horacio Zarricueta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mamdouh Hayat in the 43rd minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matey Dachevski to make the kick off. Al-Ahli's Clud Almagro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Al-Ahli from getting a goal against them. In the 93rd minute, Christer Johnsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Clud Almagro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5.
