The corner led ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Tobias Xacintu to fire away a dangerous shot which Belchior Saldanha despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 11 minutes ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alessio Scandella who took care of the corner kick. When Jan-Olof Eliasson came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the La Gallardeta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan-Olof Eliasson couldn't finish the play. Gavino Gabino might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Belchior Saldanha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gavino Gabino ran back to his position shaking his head. Gavino Gabino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Belchior Saldanha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to La Gallardeta getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Alessio Scandella hit a great ball. Tobias Xacintu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Belchior Saldanha. La Gallardeta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. La Gallardeta made a substitution. Fulgencio Gartzi replaced Clemente Anaya. Sebastian Abechuco made a great header on La Gallardeta's corner, it was just that ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Oliverio Kahn managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 44th minute, Fulgencio Gartzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan-Olof Eliasson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Liljeström in the 51st minute of play forced La Gallardeta's goalkeeper Belchior Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mats Liljeström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belchior Saldanha having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Fulgencio Gartzi took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Oliverio Kahn to make any attempt to save it. 59 minutes into the match, La Gallardeta's Fulgencio Gartzi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oliverio Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 61 minutes of play, ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Gavino Gabino made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Belchior Saldanha was left in no man's land by his defense there! ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Saturnino Romo was substituted for Gavino Gabino. 66 minutes into the game, Joel Carli threw the ball into play from the sideline. La Gallardeta's Sebastian Abechuco quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 68 minutes into the match, Saturnino Romo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Belchior Saldanha. La Gallardeta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saturnino Romo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 71 minutes into the game, La Gallardeta's Fulgencio Gartzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oliverio Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. La Gallardeta's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alessio Scandella in the 79th minute. After a defensive mix-up in La Gallardeta's zone, Saturnino Romo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Belchior Saldanha came out of the goal and Saturnino Romo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 84 minutes, Fulgencio Gartzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Gallardeta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fulgencio Gartzi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th minute, Saturnino Romo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. With a little luck, ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Oliverio Kahn got control of the ball when Fulgencio Gartzi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fulgencio Gartzis short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Oliverio Kahn to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Saturnino Romo might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Belchior Saldanha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saturnino Romo ran back to his position shaking his head. 93 minutes into the match, La Gallardeta's goal looked a bit too open when Saturnino Romo came free, but Belchior Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Aldo Cresconio got a free kick in the 94th minute. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of La Gallardeta for a fine match.
