An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Nobel in the 10th minute of play forced Cardo Ruso Cordobés's goalkeeper Julio Falcioni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Curumalán AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gabriel Milito in the 11th minute. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Curumalán AFC's goalkeeper Lin Mo Hong, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Falcioni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esequiel Barco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esequiel Barco kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Julio Falcioni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esequiel Barco, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 32 minutes into the game, Esequiel Barco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Julio Falcioni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julio Falcioni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfred Nobel went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Curumalán AFC's Lin Mo Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juliusz Gdowik in the 39th minute of play. Alfred Nobel hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Curumalán AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Franky Dhondt scored to the left of an out of position Lin Mo Hong, making the score, 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Franky Dhondt to strike the kick off in the second half. Alfred Nobels short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Julio Falcioni to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Franky Dhondt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lin Mo Hong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franky Dhondt in the 57th minute of the match. Julio Falcioni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esequiel Barco in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, Franky Dhondt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. In the 78th minute, Curumalán AFC's Gabriel Milito seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gabriel Milito the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Curumalán AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gabriel Milito had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 78 minutes into the game, one of Curumalán AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Albino Millano shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Esequiel Barco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Falcioni having to make a save. Esequiel Barco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Falcioni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. In the 97th minute, Curumalán AFC's Freddy Mikelats dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. The Curumalán AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Curumalán AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
