The corner led Ripa FC's Smith Wigglesworth to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcos Burni despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Gu Chang Peng had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Burni. Waitakere F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gu Chang Peng was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Marcos Burni made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Gu Chang Peng sent off a good shot on target. Waitakere F.C.'s Jairo Virila managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alejandro Frederico in the 20 minute of the game. With a little luck, Waitakere F.C.'s Marcos Burni got control of the ball when Smith Wigglesworth tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gu Chang Peng got free with Marcos Burni in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd minute, Piara Santo made a precise shot to the right of Aldo Mannie. Ripa FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. If Joel Tehas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st match minute, Ripa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Lalla to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Waitakere F.C. booed when Ripa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Lalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Piara Santo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gu Chang Peng's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Burni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Gu Chang Peng blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Burni having to make a save. Waitakere F.C.'s Nacho Scocco was substituted for Delmiro Oto. Waitakere F.C.'s Marius Gherghe was substituted for Piara Santo. Gu Chang Peng's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Burni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Marcos Burni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gu Chang Peng in the 65th minute of the match. Ripa FC's Aldo Mannie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Vasco in the 66th minute of play. Aldo Mannie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marius Gherghe in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute of the match, Nacho Scocco tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aldo Mannie saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Aldo Mannie successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience was convinced that Gu Chang Peng's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Burni was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. For all the effort they put into the match, the Waitakere F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ripa FC.
