An unexpectedly hard shot by Long John in the 38th minute of play forced Landulfos FC's goalkeeper Flávio de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Long John struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Flávio de Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Power Guido FC. After a rather tough play, Landulfos FC's Naldo da Silveira got a free kick in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The Landulfos FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while The Power Guido FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
