In the 16th minute of the match, Luizão Peixoto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Afonso Vargas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Joélson Barbosa fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brazil Academy's protests and gave Joélson Barbosa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th match minute, Brazil Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joélson Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Brazil Academy's goalkeeper Afonso Vargas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aírton Oliveira. In the 21st minute Karaboudjan were awarded a corner. Felippe Monteiro went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Luizão Peixoto got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 2-0. 21 minutes into the match. Afonso Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuri Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yuri Teixeira in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Afonso Vargas saved Brazil Academy from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luizão Peixoto in the 29th minute of play forced Brazil Academy's goalkeeper Afonso Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Yuri Teixeira took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Afonso Vargas to make any attempt to save it. In the 34th minute Marcelo Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Yuri Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karaboudjan's supporters rose to their feet, but Yuri Teixeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Vargas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Messias in the 47th minute of play forced Karaboudjan's goalkeeper Marcelinho Abraão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Amaral to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Yuri Teixeira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Afonso Vargas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Afonso Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aírton Oliveira in the 59th minute of play. Karaboudjan's Marcelinho Abraão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Mangueira in the 60th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Yuri Teixeira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Karaboudjan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Dieguinho Valadares charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dieguinho Valadares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Durval Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Brazil Academy's Daniel Amaral got a free kick in the 81st minute.
