Carlinhos Viana started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilmar Couto in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valdemar Câmara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Carlinhos Viana came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Ferrao FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlinhos Viana couldn't finish the play. Carlinhos Viana might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Férid Khalifa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlinhos Viana ran back to his position shaking his head. Carlinhos Viana's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Férid Khalifa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Botafogo MZRJ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when D.J. 武磊 scored to the left of an out of position Férid Khalifa, making the score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlinhos Viana in the 22nd minute of play forced Botafogo MZRJ's goalkeeper Férid Khalifa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd match minute, Botafogo MZRJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilmar Couto to maneuver through the defense. Gilmar Couto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Agustin Sergi made in the 31st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which D.J. 武磊 however managed to control. The crowd rose to their feet as Ferrao FC's D.J. 武磊 slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Férid Khalifa. That made the score 2-0 after 37 minutes of play. The supporters of Botafogo MZRJ booed when Ferrao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tayfun Tezkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Ferrao FC's Adrianinho Rodrigues tried to score from far away in the 42nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ferrao FC's Afonso Schmidt got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After some careless play in the Ferrao FC defense, Gilmar Couto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdemar Câmara. The Ferrao FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdemar Câmara should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

After 52 played minutes Ferrao FC got a freekick which was hit by João Miranda. Valdemar Câmara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilmar Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilmar Couto in the 59th minute of play forced Ferrao FC's goalkeeper Valdemar Câmara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ferrao FC's Carlinhos Viana in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Botafogo MZRJ's goalie prevented a goal. 67 minutes into the match, Ferrao FC's goalkeeper Valdemar Câmara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silas Lara. With an all-out effort, Botafogo MZRJ's Valdemar Câmara threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Isaltino Gomes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Botafogo MZRJ getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Juvenal Camargo hit a great ball. In the 81st minute of the match, Maurício Félix tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Valdemar Câmara saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Férid Khalifa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emílio Pernambucano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilmar Couto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Schmidt hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute of the match Sidnei Amaral sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valdemar Câmara skillfully saved the ball. After 95 minutes of play, Botafogo MZRJ's Gilmar Couto made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdemar Câmara was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ferrao FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
