FUTEBOL ARTE's Margus Niilus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erling Franks in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, 20 DE SETEMBRO's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Peixoto came free, but Benê Goiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute Jairo Jacinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benê Goiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Erling Franks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benê Goiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Pitta in the 37th minute of the match. Donny Verweijen's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Margus Niilus firmly grabbed it by the left post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Erling Franks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Margus Niilus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, 20 DE SETEMBRO's Benê Goiano got control of the ball when Vítor Peixoto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ulises Manuelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donny Verweijen in the 71st minute of play forced FUTEBOL ARTE's goalkeeper Margus Niilus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erling Franks in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Margus Niilus saved FUTEBOL ARTE from getting behind. Benê Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinho Pitta in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute Erling Franks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Margus Niilus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When FUTEBOL ARTE's Ulises Manuelo in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
