In the 9thth minute of the game Jeremias Velloso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montalcino SE's Valdomiro Ferraz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Dino Nicolini recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Isaltino Couto. Dino Nicolini showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício Rodrigues in the 16th minute of play forced Montalcino SE's goalkeeper Valdomiro Ferraz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Montalcino SE defense, Jeremias Velloso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdomiro Ferraz. The Montalcino SE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdomiro Ferraz should have stopped the shot. Montalcino SE's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leonardo de Godoi in the 30th minute. The corner led Montalcino SE's Leonardo de Godoi to fire away a dangerous shot which Isaltino Couto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 32nd minute Maurício Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdomiro Ferraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Montalcino SE's Valdomiro Ferraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Velloso in the 34th minute of play. Isaltino Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Nicolini in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute Fausto Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdomiro Ferraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Danone CC's goalkeeper Isaltino Couto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Modesto Atarratze. Modesto Atarratze struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Isaltino Couto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montalcino SE. Dino Nicolini hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicolas Espiridion made a kick off. Perivaldo Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enéas Carneiro got free with Valdomiro Ferraz in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 65 minutes into the match, Enéas Carneiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Valdomiro Ferraz, 1-2. Isaltino Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Espiridion, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeremias Velloso in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valdomiro Ferraz saved Montalcino SE from getting behind. When Nicolas Espiridion came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Montalcino SE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolas Espiridion couldn't finish the play. Montalcino SE's Válter Cearense was substituted for Almir Valadares. Danone CC's Isaltino Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perivaldo Paiva in the 76th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Montalcino SE's Dino Nicolini got a free kick in the 80th minute. After 81 played minutes Montalcino SE got a freekick which was hit by Dino Nicolini. When Moisés Linhares fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The Montalcino SE supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Danone CC's performance. The match ended with a win for Danone CC.
