After 19 played minutes, Marzagão's Eliseu Fantini shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Weverton Pras came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Marzagão reached it. 25 minutes into the match, Marzagão's goal looked a bit too open when Kléberson Loureiro came free, but Mieszko Karanowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Ruperto Ignatius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mieszko Karanowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jon Loarte in the 31st minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Marzagão's goal looked a bit too open when Kléberson Loureiro came free, but Mieszko Karanowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Marzagão's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marzagão's Mieszko Karanowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kléberson Loureiro in the 37th minute of play. Pedro Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Weverton Pras having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jon Loarte to strike the kick off in the second half. Leon Sport Club's Giovanni Massa got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 53 played minutes Marzagão got a freekick which was hit by Ruperto Ignatius. The audience was convinced that Kléberson Loureiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mieszko Karanowski was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Valdo Prado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Mieszko Karanowski made a huge save. Mieszko Karanowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon Loarte in the 68th minute of play. 74 minutes into the game, Murillo do Valle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Weverton Pras was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leon Sport Club's Wesley Sønck was substituted for Jon Loarte. Jânio Faria charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jânio Faria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leon Sport Club's Davi Alexandridis was substituted for Giovanni Massa. In a very dangerous position, a player in Marzagão fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 79th minute. Penalty!
