It was Eliseu Fantini who took care of the corner kick. 17 minutes into the match, Marzagão's goal looked a bit too open when Romildo Binder came free, but Mieszko Karanowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MALAIA FDFDF's Celso Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Santiago in the 31st minute of play. If Murillo do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Toledo took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Celso Barral. Celso Barral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Murillo do Valle was the one to do the kick off. The Marzagão fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when Marzagão's Murillo do Valle looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a little luck, MALAIA FDFDF's Celso Barral got control of the ball when Murillo do Valle tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murillo do Valle in the 59th minute of play forced MALAIA FDFDF's goalkeeper Celso Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mieszko Karanowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antoni Basaik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 62 minutes of play, MALAIA FDFDF's Edgar Tasso made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mieszko Karanowski was left in no man's land by his defense there! MALAIA FDFDF's Celso Barral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save MALAIA FDFDF from getting a goal against them. Marzagão's Mieszko Karanowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romildo Binder in the 66th minute of play. Murillo do Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Barral having to interfere. Celso Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Toledo in the 69th minute of the match. After 70 played minutes MALAIA FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Vianna. Marzagão made a substitution. Jânio Faria replaced Cezar Martins. After a rather tough play, MALAIA FDFDF's Carlos Vianna got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Mieszko Karanowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Tasso in the 74th minute of play. MALAIA FDFDF were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Marzagão's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Clóvis Souza took the corner. In the 80th minute Marzagão were awarded a corner. Eliseu Fantini went to the cornerflag to take it. Dário Toscano kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Murillo do Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
