A collision led to Nova Venécia-ES getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Leonel Paranaense hit a great ball. Luís Gustavo do Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Lupi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdo Diniz hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Alvaro Lupi, 22 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 26 minutes into the match, FLU ES fc's goal looked a bit too open when Natã Quintal came free, but Pedro Luiz Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvaro Lupi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Gustavo Botelho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Luiz Sergipano having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Natã Quintal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Luiz Sergipano was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After 46 minutes FLU ES fc's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Valdo Diniz who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Nova Venécia-ES's corner Valdo Diniz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pedro Luiz Sergipano quite easily take care of the ball.

In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind FLU ES fc's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz Sergipano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 57 played minutes FLU ES fc got a freekick which was hit by Gilson Xavier. In the 58th minute Dino Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luiz Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dino Tavares's late challenge caught a FLU ES fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dino Tavares helped the player get up and apologised. Pedro Luiz Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Tavares in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, FLU ES fc's Gilson Xavier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luís Gustavo do Nascimento made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 67th minute, Lucjan Mietus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 82 minutes into the match, FLU ES fc's goal looked a bit too open when Dino Tavares came free, but Pedro Luiz Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gilson Xavier came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the FLU ES fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilson Xavier couldn't finish the play. Fábio Neto hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Nova Venécia-ES were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
