The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 11 minutes into the game, one of Patagonicos FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Mogel Izcaray shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 13th match minute, Patagonicos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Joanes to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute of the match, Mogel Izcaray sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Marian Cazacu showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by Patagonicos FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mogel Izcaray was slow to take the kick. During this time Rosario Central FC's players had a chance to rest. Rosario Central FC's Mogel Izcaray was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marian Cazacu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Estevão Bessa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marian Cazacu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mogel Izcaray, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mogel Izcaray in the 32nd minute of play forced Patagonicos FC's goalkeeper Marian Cazacu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Musso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Brady, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 40 minutes of play, Patagonicos FC's Marcus Brady made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Musso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emilio Guillelmo's late challenge caught a Patagonicos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emilio Guillelmo helped the player get up and apologised. Diego Idacio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Juan Musso. Rosario Central FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Patagonicos FC's Marian Cazacu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mogel Izcaray in the 53rd minute of play. Mogel Izcaray recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. John Yip kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. The throw-in from Ezequiel Maldonado in the 72nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Patagonicos FC's Evelio Erasto. After taking down the ball on Patagonicos FC's corner Marcial Balesio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Juan Musso quite easily take care of the ball. Marcus Brady might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Musso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcus Brady ran back to his position shaking his head. 80 minutes into the match, Rosario Central FC's goalkeeper Juan Musso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcus Brady. Leonel Sendoa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan Musso having to make a save. Patagonicos FC made a substitution. Candido Iaki replaced Leonel Sendoa. Rosario Central FC were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Patagonicos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mogel Izcaray took the corner. The corner ended in Mogel Izcaray almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Patagonicos FC's Marian Cazacu did a great save. Luciano Joanes tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Marian Cazacu. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-1 in the 89th minute. Marcus Brady could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Juan Musso made a huge save. Patagonicos FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Rosario Central FC to leave the ground with a draw.
