With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luciano Jerano in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Otoniel Bonet saved Terapia Intensiva from getting behind. In the 13th minute of the match Defensores del Albinegro got a corner. Terapia Intensiva's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ildefonso Balesio ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a little luck, Defensores del Albinegro's Cornelio Merexildo got control of the ball when Ivo Calado tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Luciano Jerano sped through Terapia Intensiva's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Otoniel Bonet. 34 minutes into the match, Terapia Intensiva's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Jerano came free, but Otoniel Bonet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Terapia Intensiva's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ildefonso Balesio was slow to take the kick. During this time Defensores del Albinegro's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Terapia Intensiva's goalie and right to Elias Tonete. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Terapia Intensiva's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Luciano Jerano sped through Terapia Intensiva's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Otoniel Bonet. After the first half Defensores del Albinegro were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luciano Jerano to make the kick off. In the 50th minute Melquiades Beila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Merexildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luciano Jerano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Otoniel Bonet when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Defensores del Albinegro's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ildefonso Balesio in the 61st minute. After a rather tough play, Defensores del Albinegro's Elias Tonete got a free kick in the 61st minute. Defensores del Albinegro's Lorenzo Lluterio got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Otoniel Bonet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Jerano in the 68th minute of play. Luciano Jerano struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Otoniel Bonet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Defensores del Albinegro. A hard shot by Ildefonso Balesio from long distance, 71 minutes into the match, got Otoniel Bonet's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Luciano Jerano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luciano Jerano got free with Otoniel Bonet in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Terapia Intensiva's Lorenzo Fernanco got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Otoniel Bonet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luciano Jerano in the 86th minute. Lorenzo Lluterio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Defensores del Albinegro's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
