Spectators: 141 (Terracing: 107, Seating: 32, VIP seats: 2) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Evelio Pes took the kick off in the first half of the match. Zeledon Hug took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Pes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newton FC's goalkeeper Zeledon Hug, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Rogelio Claris fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Sportivo Italiano's protests and gave Rogelio Claris a yellow card for diving instead. Rogelio Claris kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theo Hayles in the 27th minute of play forced Newton FC's goalkeeper Zeledon Hug to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Theo Hayles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 31st match minute, Newton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Valiente to maneuver through the defense. Luisito Bikendi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 36 played minutes Newton FC got a freekick which was hit by Teo Cugat. Zeledon Hug showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theo Hayles in the 39th minute of the match. In the 48th minute Evelio Jerold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Stephen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 49 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Sportivo Italiano's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Evelio Jerold was slow to take the kick. During this time Newton FC's players had a chance to rest. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Reynaldo Stephen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evelio Jerold, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Evelio Pes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 79th minute, Annadeva Flumian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the match, Newton FC's goalkeeper Zeledon Hug had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Theo Hayles. Zeledon Hug made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Pes in the 84th minute of play. After 95 minutes, Edgard Eufemio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newton FC and the Club Sportivo Italiano players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the final whistle sounded Club Sportivo Italiano left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Newton FC.
