The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's attentive Huang Hong Gang managed to snatch the ball when Juan Sorin made a throw-in in the 4th minute of the game. In the 12th minute, Eleuterio Niva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute of the game Eleuterio Niva made a throw-in which Zachary Kosiorek played forward. Txomin Astudillo scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robert Vassenius, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Erubiel Cambranes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jurand Deput in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute of the match RB Chubut got a corner. C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luís Advíncula ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Fernand Redondo managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yao Xiang Xi in the 27th minute of play forced RB Chubut's goalkeeper Robert Vassenius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erubiel Cambranes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jurand Deput went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 43 played minutes C. A. Gral. Lamadrid got a freekick which was hit by Yao Xiang Xi. Maximino Aimar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Erubiel Cambranes. C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Aldo Mikolas kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

If Txomin Astudillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice moves Txomin Astudillo could shoot a difficult shot in the 54th minute, which Robert Vassenius however easily saved by the left post. 56 minutes into the game, one of RB Chubut:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some careless play in the RB Chubut defense, Pang Si Yan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robert Vassenius. The RB Chubut fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Vassenius should have stopped the shot. In the 63rd minute, Txomin Astudillo made a precise shot to the right of Robert Vassenius. RB Chubut's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. C. A. Gral. Lamadrid made a substitution. Eliu Tuver replaced Zachary Kosiorek. Erubiel Cambranes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isaac Mingo's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Yao Xiang Xi scored 1-4 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robert Vassenius, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Pablo Vegetti came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the C. A. Gral. Lamadrid fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pablo Vegetti couldn't finish the play. Pablo Vegetti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robert Vassenius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
