Diablos Rojos's Samuel Stabbe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Diablos Rojos from getting a goal against them. Gabriel Urtats showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Big Benne in the 14th minute of the match. Igor Cristofor received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Samuel Stabbe came out and tried to block the shot, but Igor Cristofor slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Big Benne had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gabriel Urtats. Areco FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Big Benne was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Sebastian Tarchilă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Areco FC's Samuel Stabbe threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Igor Cristofor, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 32nd minute Zeledon Sol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Stabbe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benja Dominguez in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Samuel Stabbe, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Americo Fliz kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Samuel Stabbe made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Zeledon Sol sent off a good shot on target. Sebastian Tarchilă took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gabriel Urtats. Gabriel Urtats dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sebastian Tarchilă to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Venancio Sendoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diablos Rojos's Maxim Dăianu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 55th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Areco FC. After having played for 62 minutes, Benja Dominguez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Areco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benja Dominguez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 64thth minute of the game Benja Dominguez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Diablos Rojos's Samuel Stabbe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gabriel Urtats didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 65th minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. Americo Fliz kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Diablos Rojos's Samuel Stabbe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Sol in the 73rd minute of play. Big Benne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Gabriel Urtats made a huge save. Igor Cristofor hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Sebastian Tarchilă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Gabriel Urtats tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgardo Domiku was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 79 minutes into the match. 78 minutes into the game, one of Areco FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gabriel Urtats had in the 80thth minute some difficulties stopping Maxim Dăianu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 81st minute Diablos Rojos were awarded a corner. Maxim Dăianu went to the cornerflag to take it. Diablos Rojos's Maxim Dăianu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gabriel Urtats in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Igor Cristofor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Stabbe having to interfere. The supporters of Areco FC booed when Diablos Rojos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Big Benne didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Maxim Dăianu fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Diablos Rojos's protests and gave Maxim Dăianu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Areco FC booed when Diablos Rojos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maxim Dăianu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Diablos Rojos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Diablos Rojos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
