The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fernando Ruisko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Americo Millan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Hernán Crespo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Elias Piarres fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Millo de Haedo's protests and gave Elias Piarres a yellow card for diving instead. Elias Piarres kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Jorge Olguín shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Ishmael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Ruisko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Americo Millan in the 21st minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Segundo Ubelteso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Piernas Locas Crane FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Millo de Haedo the free kick. In the 22nd minute, Segundo Ubelteso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Americo Millan in the 23rd minute of play forced El Millo de Haedo's goalkeeper Fernando Ruisko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Ruisko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Americo Millan in the 24th minute of play. Fernando Ruisko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Segundo Ubelteso, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Horacio Ishmael stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hernán Crespo's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. The audience was convinced that Hernán Crespo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horacio Ishmael was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. In a very dangerous position, a player in Piernas Locas Crane FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! Horacio Ishmael had in the 30thth minute some difficulties stopping Hernán Crespo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Hernán Crespo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Horacio Ishmael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Olguín hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Segundo Ubelteso to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Piernas Locas Crane FC got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Loco. In the 56th minute Segundo Ubelteso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Ruisko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Ruisko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Segundo Ubelteso in the 57th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hernán Crespo got free with Horacio Ishmael in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fernando Ruisko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Americo Millan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Bertran in the 74th minute of play forced El Millo de Haedo's goalkeeper Fernando Ruisko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute Enrique Txomin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Ruisko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alejo Urtun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Ruisko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Bertran in the 80th minute of play. Fernando Ruisko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luciano Bertran's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in El Millo de Haedo's zone, Matias Pes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Ruisko came out of the goal and Matias Pes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute, Americo Millan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Piernas Locas Crane FC's Enrique Txomin got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute, Anier Christobal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. El Millo de Haedo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
