After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Maximo Cloyo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Diablos Rojos's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximo Cloyo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clemente Artizar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maximo Cloyo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Clemente Artizar came out and tried to block the shot, but Maximo Cloyo slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 40th minute. In the 45th play minute Raí Catarinense came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Clemente Artizar. 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Clemente Artizar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raí Catarinense in the 51st minute of play. If Maximo Cloyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clemente Artizar came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Diablos Rojos's Doug Bermudez. The audience held their breath when Fedele Punta in the 67th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Clemente Artizar's left hand side. Raí Catarinense took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clemente Artizar. Clemente Artizar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Javier Jaunzuria in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clemente Artizar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 79 minutes into the match, Albiceleste F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Cloyo came free, but Clemente Artizar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Javier Jaunzuria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 minutes of play, Los Diablos Rojos's Raí Catarinense made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clemente Artizar was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 86th minute, Maximo Cloyo made a precise shot to the right of Clemente Artizar. Albiceleste F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. 90 minutes into the game, Los Diablos Rojos's Raí Catarinense nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Clemente Artizar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. In the 95th minute Maximo Cloyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Artizar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
