After some careless play in the Sportivo O´connor defense, Rene Pierres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiro Bolas. The Sportivo O´connor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiro Bolas should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hector Jerardo in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiro Bolas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tiro Bolas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Guillerme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deportivo Messina were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Sportivo O´connor's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Salvador Iztal took the corner. The corner ended in Salvador Iztal almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sportivo O´connor's Tiro Bolas did a great save. After 45 minutes, Aristides Gaxan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sportivo O´connor and the Deportivo Messina players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sportivo O´connor's goalkeeper Tiro Bolas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Messina's Salvador Iztal got a free kick in the 47th minute. Deportivo Messina's Luis Cordario was substituted for Rene Pierres. In the 49th minute, Salvador Iztal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Sportivo O´connor players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Deportivo Messina were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodosio Ascencio to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Cordario in the 53rd minute of play forced Sportivo O´connor's goalkeeper Tiro Bolas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Kontšek in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yuriy Babushkin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 57th minute, Luis Cordario reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tiro Bolas. The goal made the score 0-3. Tiro Bolas made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Luis Cordario sent off a good shot on target. Tiro Bolas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodosio Ascencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Teobaldo Normando kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. A collision led to Sportivo O´connor getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Camilo Elazar hit a great ball. Tiro Bolas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hector Jerardo went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. The Sportivo O´connor fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Deportivo Messina were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
