The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Octavio Ospetsu during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 7th match minute, LA DEL MONO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Ospetsu to maneuver through the defense. LA DEL MONO's Vince Easton got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vince Easton in the 11th minute of play forced Matador's goalkeeper Emilio Sugar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute of the match LA DEL MONO got a corner. Matador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elpidio Guillelmo ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on LA DEL MONO's corner Elpidio Guillelmo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Emilio Sugar quite easily take care of the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Vince Easton notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Matador's Emilio Sugar. Emilio Sugar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The LA DEL MONO fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when LA DEL MONO's Vince Easton looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rolando Medardo made in the 30th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by LA DEL MONO's Hussein Bellido. In the 34th minute, Vince Easton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emilio Sugar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vince Easton in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emilio Sugar saved Matador from getting behind. After 38 minutes of play, LA DEL MONO's Vince Easton made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emilio Sugar was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Anacleto Txaran got free with Fabio Betadur in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vince Easton in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emilio Sugar saved Matador from getting behind. Vince Easton scored 0-7 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emilio Sugar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The wind increased when Vince Easton made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match, Vince Easton tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Emilio Sugar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Emilio Sugar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vince Easton, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Matador made a substitution. Hermengildo Medero replaced Anacleto Txaran. Fabio Betadur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogdan Agusoaei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 61 minutes, Hermengildo Medero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Matador and the LA DEL MONO players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vince Easton in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emilio Sugar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Vince Easton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emilio Sugar was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched LA DEL MONO eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
