Leopoldo Ospin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toralf Walther in the 12th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Filial Los Canarios's zone, Aristide Traianescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ubaldo Fillol came out of the goal and Aristide Traianescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 20 minutes into the game, Filial Los Canarios's Arsenio Rudolfo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leopoldo Ospin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ubaldo Fillol made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Segundo Felo sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Ubaldo Fillol successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some careless play in the Deuce Athletic Club defense, Arsenio Rudolfo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leopoldo Ospin. The Deuce Athletic Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leopoldo Ospin should have stopped the shot. Aristide Traianescu's late challenge caught a Filial Los Canarios's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aristide Traianescu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th minute, Aristide Traianescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the match, Deuce Athletic Club's goal looked a bit too open when Arsenio Rudolfo came free, but Leopoldo Ospin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ubaldo Fillol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Aimar in the 41st minute of the match. In the 44th minute Gonzalo Errando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Ospin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Arsenio Rudolfo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Leopoldo Ospin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gonzalo Errando was the one to do the kick off. Filial Los Canarios's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deuce Athletic Club the free kick. In the 86th minute, Filial Los Canarios's Arsenio Rudolfo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. Rogelio Quiroga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Leopoldo Ospin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ubaldo Fillol didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aristide Traianescu went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-4 was the resulting score. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Filial Los Canarios had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
