With a little luck, Herrier's Justo Izotz got control of the ball when Domingo Papo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mo Chen Yang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Clodio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gustavo Estevon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 27 minutes, Mateo Fagildo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Herrier and the River Plate. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rdth minute of the game Jonas Anselius who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Herrier's Justo Izotz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 46th minute, Domingo Papo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Justo Izotz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

River Plate.'s Mo Chen Yang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Estevon in the 53rd minute of play. Justo Izotz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Evangelista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 63 minutes River Plate.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alfredo Clodio who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Herrier's corner Alfredo Clodio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mo Chen Yang quite easily take care of the ball. Isaac Fortun kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After 67 played minutes Herrier got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Constancio. Justo Izotz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Evangelista in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Evangelista in the 76th minute of play forced Herrier's goalkeeper Justo Izotz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The River Plate. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Justo Izotz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Anselius in the 94th minute of play. The River Plate. players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
