Ian Rush charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ian Rush the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Acheral's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Romeo Constancio scored to the left of an out of position Danilo Urbasa, making the score, 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Acheral's Danilo Urbasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Constancio in the 51st minute of play. In the 54th minute, Ian Rush reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Justo Izotz. The goal made the score 4-1. 57 minutes in the game, Rufio Abalos fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Justo Izotz having to interfere. If Rufio Abalos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Acheral made a substitution. Leopoldo Jacinto Luque replaced Rufio Abalos. Alejandro Egun hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute of the match Alfredo Clodio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Danilo Urbasa skillfully saved the ball. Leopoldo Jacinto Luque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Justo Izotz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Justo Izotz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian Rush, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Leopoldo Jacinto Luque's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Justo Izotz firmly grabbed it by the left post. Acheral's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ian Rush in the 96th minute. Ian Rush made a great header on Acheral's corner, it was just that Herrier's Justo Izotz managed to reach the ball for a save.
