Marcelo Díaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Edur having to interfere. Juan Riquelme might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aquilino Edur. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juan Riquelme ran back to his position shaking his head. Aquilino Edur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Riquelme, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Pastor Admon kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 19thth minute of the game Juan Riquelme who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paladar Negro FC's Aquilino Edur was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Manantiales Fc's Guillermo Edwardo got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 24th minute Juan Riquelme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquilino Edur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manantiales Fc's Zbigniew Barowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Oihenarte in the 27th minute of play. Juan Riquelme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juan Riquelme was the one to do the kick off. A wasted opportunity for Manantiales Fc. 75 minutes into the match, Paladar Negro FC's goalkeeper Aquilino Edur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Riquelme. Juan Riquelmes short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Aquilino Edur to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Aquilino Edur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Riquelme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Riquelme got free with Aquilino Edur in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Paladar Negro FC booed when Manantiales Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldo Ronaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Paladar Negro FC's Ciriaco Baldovino got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Manantiales Fc's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
