In the 16th minute Panos Karkantos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Red Bull Magnus's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Heleno de Freitas 18 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. In the 20th match minute, Edson Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Djalma Di Filippo to maneuver through the defense. Paul Christini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bass Dost's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Red Bull Magnus's Bass Dost managed to work through Edson Futebol Clube's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Bass Dost dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Bass Dost took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paul Christini. Paul Christini dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 31 minutes into the match, Red Bull Magnus's goal looked a bit too open when Heleno de Freitas came free, but Cláudio Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cláudio Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heleno de Freitas in the 31st minute of play. Axel Bäck hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Heleno de Freitas made a precise shot to the right of Cláudio Bittencourt. Red Bull Magnus's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Ali Alin kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Red Bull Magnus defense, Ernesto Fontes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cláudio Bittencourt. The Red Bull Magnus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cláudio Bittencourt should have stopped the shot. Tao Xing Yong kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

After 57 minutes of play, Edson Futebol Clube's Lucas Hulk made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cláudio Bittencourt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Red Bull Magnus made a substitution. Leo de Carvalho replaced Bass Dost. After a rather tough play, Red Bull Magnus's Zhao Lin Zhi got a free kick in the 65th minute. Cláudio Bittencourt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paul Christini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from You Wei Xing, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Edson Futebol Clube's Roger Milla was substituted for Tuncay Şanlı. After 77 minutes Edson Futebol Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Axel Bäck who took care of the corner kick. 80 minutes into the game, Ayi Kusumah cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3.
